Consultancy for organisations, public bodies and companies

There is a growing pressure for all organisations to understand and recognise neurodivergence legitimately, and to create/refresh and implement systems that honour people’s neurodivergence/disability support needs and support them properly in authentic and meaningful ways. My work is being part of enabling you to make those important changes and keep up with this national/global culture shift.

If your organisation needs to solve a problem, change its culture, roll out a policy or project, or explore ways to be more inclusive for neurodivergent people/disabled people, I offer consultancy work that is entirely bespoke to your organisation’s requirements.

Generally, I am commissioned to provide the following types of consultancy work (although I am also open to and interested in requests outside of this scope): assessment; guidance; ideas; solutions, problem-solving; change-making; ideas; directing; advocacy; spokesperson; quiet activism; systemic change management; project management; resolutions; training; speaking; writing; presenting; policy and procedure writing/advising; facilitating; media; mediating; creating a working-culture shift and/or paradigm shift.

My areas of work tend to be: neurodivergence; neurodiversity; autism/ADHD/AuDHD; ‘SEND’; Early Years; childhood; wellbeing; emerging and changing paradigms in education; ‘SEND’/neurodivergence diversity/disability; children’s rights; equity; agency; equality and authentic inclusion; workers’ rights/considerations.

Changemaking examples:

In May 2022, as a change-maker and due to my personal experience of medical menopause, I was invited to share my story to highlight the needs of women who are in medical menopause. Many women like me are put into medical menopause following essential and life-changing surgery to lower other medical risks; in my case, it was to lower my cancer risk as a BRCA2 positive gene carrier.

In this article for East London Lines, I was interviewed about the importance of freelance work and the impact it has on self-esteem and wellbeing.

Who I work with:

Whether it’s assessing workplace practices and implementing systemic changes or facilitating workshops on inclusivity, I am here to provide you with the tools you need for positive change. Below are some examples of who I work with:

Featured in: Channel 4 Documentary 'Hollyoaks: Gay Dads Forever'. Kieron Richardson speaks with Yasmin.

I was proud to be part of this documentary in change-making solidarity and celebration of all kinds of families. There is still so much work to be done around those who identify as ‘other’ feeling increasingly validated and having their experiences recognised and respected. This is why I welcomed the opportunity to share my own childhood experiences around same-sex parenting and the powerful permeating impact of discrimination. (In the documentary, I am referred to by my previous nickname, Maisie.)

"Excellent, insightful, focused and dedicated workshop and webinar delivery on autism by Yasmin. As an autism charity we have noticed a rise in the PDA profile of autism, which can be very challenging to support and many parents and families would benefit from PDA workshops and support. We commissioned Yasmin in December last year to contribute to our parents' understanding with an online workshop for the benefit of our parents across London. Yasmin successfully navigated a multitude of questions and discussion areas, some of which were very difficult, as well as responding to a very busy chat feature on zoom with additional questions, and took extra time unpaid to ensure she responded to everyone as best as she could. Thank you Yasmin for your expertise, support and warmth."
