Speaking, writing & media
I speak, write, and contribute to media on equitable education, neuroinclusion, SEND rights, intersectionality, and the systemic change needed to make all three real. I bring to every stage and page the same thing: 30 years of direct work, clinical training, lived experience, and the refusal to soften any of it to make it easier to hear.
Speaking
I am available for keynotes, conference talks, panels, fireside conversations, and all-staff events. Notable platforms include:
- The Parliamentary Review
- Royal College of General Practitioners
- PDA Society national events
- Sector conferences on SEND, early years, and neuroinclusion
Topics I speak on most often
- Rights-based neuroinclusion — beyond compliance
- The intersection of disability, race, gender, and neurodivergence in education
- PDA — what schools and organisations actually need to know
- Early years neuroinclusion and The Maisie Poppins Way
- The Freedom Approach — a pedagogy for equitable education
- Navigating the SEND system: EHCPs, EOTAS, and the rights parents don’t know they have
- Psychodynamic perspectives on neurodivergence
- The lived experience of being a disabled, neurodivergent, mixed-race woman in the UK education system
Writing
I write articles, policy contributions, white papers, and longer-form pieces for sector and mainstream audiences. I have been published with Famly and PACEY, and have two books currently in development. I take on a small number of commissioned writing projects each year. If you are a publisher, editor, or organisation with a brief that fits my work, please get in touch.
Media
I contribute to podcasts, interviews, and broadcast media on SEND, neurodivergence, disability rights, and intersectional inclusion. Press and media enquiries are welcome — please email yasmin@yasminadarling.com.
