Consultancy for education settings
For nurseries, schools, colleges, and alternative provision ready to build genuinely neuroinclusive, rights-respecting environments — not just compliant ones. There is a significant difference between a setting that has ticked the SEND boxes and one that has genuinely redesigned how it thinks, teaches, and operates. I work with the latter, and I help the former become it.
What I offer
Whole-setting neuroinclusion audit
A comprehensive review of your setting’s policies, practice, physical environment, communication systems, curriculum design, and culture — assessed against the SEND Code of Practice 2015, the Equality Act 2010, and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. You receive a detailed written report with prioritised recommendations and a realistic action plan.
SEND and Equality Act compliance review
A focused review of your current SEND offer, EHCP support, and compliance with your Equality Act duties. Includes a review of policies, provision maps, and any live or emerging issues. Particularly useful ahead of Ofsted inspection or where a concern has been raised.
Bespoke staff training
Training designed for your setting, your staff, and your pupils — not an off-the-shelf package. Topics include neuroinclusion, PDA, autism and ADHD in the classroom, the Equality Act 2010, rights-based practice, EHCP processes, and co-regulation. Delivered as a half-day, full day, or multi-session programme. Consistently rated outstanding by participants.
Mock Ofsted inspection (SEND focus)
A robust pre-inspection review of your SEND leadership and provision, conducted using Ofsted’s own framework. Delivered with full written feedback and a verbal debrief with your SENCO and/or SLT.
Strategic consultancy for leadership teams
Longer-term advisory work with leadership teams who want to embed neuroinclusion into the DNA of their setting. Includes board and SLT briefings, policy co-design, and ongoing advisory support.
My approach to education work
I was the founder and director of Maisie Poppins — an Ofsted Outstanding x2 nursery and preschool in Hackney, built on The Freedom Approach and The Maisie Poppins Way, two pedagogies I developed over a decade of direct practice. I know what it takes to run a truly inclusive setting because I have done it — at scale, through pandemic conditions, in one of the most diverse boroughs in the country. I bring that lived operational knowledge into every commission I take on. I am not commenting from the outside.
